It's 9:47 in the morning. I was up at 9 a.m. to get a head start on homework, but instead I find myself rattled beyond belief. Why? Because of this ridiculously childish behavior coming out of the White House towards the Fox News Channel.
People aren't stupid. Fox brings in some of the highest ratings. Why are you alienating all those people? Even if the majority of Fox viewers are conservatives, why aren't you reaching out to them? Not only did you base your campaign on the fact that you wanted to work 'together' and bring 'change', but you're ignoring the people you need to talk to the most. The majority of MSNBC viewers already agree with what you do (or what you aren't doing since you haven't really done all that much). The people you need to convince you're doing the right thing to are watching Fox. Communicate with them. Shunning Fox is not going to earn you better coverage on their channel either. FYI. It looks like they're doing just fine without you.
Anyone who watches the news regularly can easily tell that Fox leans to the right and MSNBC leans to the left. CNN doesn't escape bias-free either; they have their moments. The bottom line is there is NO cable news station that does not display bias. NONE. So pick on Fox. Fair enough. But Ms. Dunn & Mr. Axelrod are out there saying that they aren't going to treat it like a legitimate news station and that it's not really a news station. And MSNBC is? At least admit that the others are biased too, but they like you so you're going to be their friend. I mean, if you want every bit of news to be pro-Obama, start up your own TV station like they do in China.
There are ways that Fox can do a better job in this WH-Fox relationship, but follow the golden rule: do unto others as you would have done to you. The way you are acting now by launching this 'offensive' has the same feel to it as walking up to the Mean Girls' table wearing sweatpants on a Monday (You can't sit with us!!!).
GROW UP. You are the White House. You are leading this country. Why are you acting like this? This doesn't represent America.
