Pepsi & BBDO Break Up


When relationships end, it's always kind of sad. Pepsi announced a break with its advertising agency, BBDO, after working together since 1960.

I have mixed feelings on this. I see where Pepsi wants to look for a fresh approach to things after 40+ years with the same agency. On the other hand, I would find it hard to leave a place that brought out such great campaigns for the brand (i.e. generation next). The NY Times mentions how cola is not selling as well in general, so who knows if this new shift will even matter.

Time will tell. I'm a pretty loyal person which could be why this whole thing is a little sad for me.
